Position Overview
8 – 10 Years Experience in avionics/electrical systems with Valid EASA Part 66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance License.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform and certify avionics and electrical maintenance tasks on aircraft systems including communication, navigation, flight control electronics, instrumentation, and cabin systems.
• Carry out scheduled base maintenance activities such as A-checks, C-checks, system upgrades, modifications, and troubleshooting of avionics systems.
• Exercise certification privileges (CRS) for avionics-related maintenance tasks in accordance with regulatory approvals.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify electrical and avionics system defects using approved maintenance data and test equipment.
• Interpret and apply technical documentation including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Wiring Diagram Manuals (WDM), Fault Isolation Manuals (FIM), and Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC).
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed with accurate documentation, including task cards, defect reports, and logbook entries.
• Perform functional testing, system checks, and software uploads where applicable.
• Coordinate with planning, stores, and other departments to ensure availability of required tools, equipment, and components.
• Supervise and support technicians and mechanics, providing technical guidance and on-job training.
• Ensure strict compliance with Safety Management System (SMS), Human Factors, and company safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to acceptable industry and company standards.
• Accurately record and report defects identified by flight crew and during maintenance inspections.
• Support aircraft redelivery ensuring systems are fully serviceable and compliant with airworthiness requirements.
Qualification & experience requirements:
Essential
• Valid EASA Part 66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance License.
• Minimum 8 years of aviation experience, with strong exposure to avionics/electrical systems.
• At least 6 years’ experience as B2 Certifying Staff, preferably in base maintenance.
• Proven experience in heavy/base maintenance environments (A-checks, C-checks, modifications).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, autopilot, and electronic instrument systems.
• Ability to interpret and apply avionics technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in avionics troubleshooting using test equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet maintenance deadlines.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrable engineering experience supported by a logbook.
Desirable
• Type ratings (minimum three preferred) on aircraft such as: A320 Family OR A330 / A340 OR A350 OR B737 NG/MAX OR B777 / B787 / 747
• Experience with maintenance planning systems and MRO software.
