Position Overview
8 – 10 Years Experience in aviation mechanical maintenance with Valid EASA Part 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance License
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform and certify base maintenance activities on aircraft mechanical systems, including airframe, engines, and related components.
• Execute scheduled maintenance checks (A-checks, C-checks, structural inspections, modifications, and repairs).
• Exercise certification privileges (CRS) for completed maintenance tasks in accordance with EASA/CAA regulations.
• Interpret and apply Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), and other approved data.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and rectify defects identified during maintenance inputs.
• Ensure all work is completed with accurate documentation, including task cards, logbooks, and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with planning, stores, and support teams to ensure availability of tools, materials, and spares.
• Supervise and support technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and on-job training where required.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, human factors, and SMS requirements at all times.
• Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Report findings, defects, and delays promptly to the Base Maintenance Manager.
• Support aircraft redelivery processes ensuring aircraft are released on time and in an airworthy condition.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Valid EASA Part 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance License.
• Minimum 8 years of aviation mechanical maintenance experience.
• At least 6 years’ experience as B1 Certifying Staff, preferably in base maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in heavy/base maintenance checks (A/C checks, structural work, modifications).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems (engines, hydraulics, structures, landing gear, etc.).
• Ability to interpret and apply technical manuals and engineering documentation.
• Good command of English (written and verbal).
• Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight maintenance schedules.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership capability in a maintenance environment.
• Valid SMS and Human Factors training.
Desirable
• Type ratings (minimum three preferred) on aircraft such as: A320 Family (CFM56 / V2500 / LEAP / PW) OR A330 / A340 OR A350 OR B737 NG/MAX OR B777 / B787 / 747
• Experience with maintenance planning systems and MRO software.
• BSI or other quality/safety certifications.
• Valid driving license.
